Vintage (repro) pattern buy to add to the pile!
A little bit of shopping done at Sew Direct. Good offer when you join the club, I got 5 patterns for just over £10. Two of them where Vogue so for those who know patterns that is a saving! I’m no where near ready to make these but soon hopefully!
Patterns are all vintage style 🙂
Vogue 1171 (discontinued)
I made another 24 for friends & family. 12 chocolate again & 12 strawberry cheesecake. The chocolate worked better as I beat the buttercream longer, the cream cheese was a bit runny however as I overworked it.
My friends are loving being my test subjects though so plenty of opportunity to practice!
I made 24 cupcakes for a friends post wedding BBQ. This is my first attempt at cupcakes which I really enjoyed, everyone else seemed to enjoy them too…they vanished quick.
I made 12 chocolate and 12 lemon cakes. Both with American style buttercream on top. Yum.
Here is a picture of the 4 flowers I made at a 2 hour class with the wonderful Claire at Beautiful Things.
We made three with a glue gun and one hand stitched. Great fun and I have gone and got a pile if ribbon to make some as present bows (like the green & pink one). Really enjoyed the class can’t wait to do more 🙂
This was suppose to be for Mothers Day but I still need to assemble it. When finished it will be a lovely summer biscornu and matching scissor keep. Worked in hand dyed threads from Dragon Threads with Perle Cotton & Mill Hill Beads.
Hopefully to be finished soon!
My first attempt at a stocking. Made for my nephews 1st Christmas from a Dimensions kit. Came out great but the French knots took forever & there not my favourite stitch.
